HairZing.com Shopify Migration

A small hair accessories company, HairZing's word-of-mouth marketing brought in more traffic than their SparkPay / Americommerce store could handle, and a limited budget meant that migration had to be done quickly and efficiently. Starting in late August of 2016, a brand new Shopify store was created, configured, and launched in just under four weeks.

Adaptability and mobile optimization

The migration hinged on the knowledge that 61% of HairZing.com visitors came through mobile browsers. Sparkpay's theme templates did not automatically include mobile optimization, so a secondary interface was built from scratch. The system was slow, inefficient, and resulted in a high bounce rate and very low conversion. The new Shopify store's primary objective was speed; lowering the load time of the site cut the bounce rate from 86% to 35%.

Compatibility and streamlining

Shopify is the biggest name in the business; migrating to a site with much more clout gave HairZing the opportunity to streamline their operational systems. Automation through MailChimp, QuickBooks, Zendesk, and more allowed the staff to focus on sales and growth, rather than maintenance.

User Friendly

The ability to add, change, or remove products shouldn't require any knowledge of code. Most small businesses can't afford to keep someone on staff just for website management, so the ability to make small changes quickly and without fuss was a welcome bonus.

Please note HairZing/Sennits LLC is no longer a client of E Stone Designs.
